Intended for students aged 11 and up, the TOEFL® Junior™ tests are an objective and reliable measure of your students’ English-language proficiency. Based on the rich heritage of the TOEFL® test and best practices in English-language testing, TOEFL® Junior™ tests can help you identify your students’ strengths and weaknesses.

  • The TOEFL® Junior™ Standard – a paper-and-pencil test that measures reading comprehension, listening comprehension, and language form and meaning
  • The TOEFL® Junior™ Comprehensive – a computer-based test, which measures reading comprehension, listening comprehension, speaking and writing.

TOEFL® Junior™ test format

Conveniently offered in paper-and-pencil format, the TOEFL® Junior™ Standard test is easy for any programme to administer. It measures three foundational skills for English fluency, which make it a good choice for institutions and programmes looking for flexibility and quick scoring.

Registration

The TOEFL® Junior™ examination is administered by Knowledge Merchandising. After completing the application procedure (for either an institutional or individual application), candidates take the TOEFL® Junior™ test at a test centre of their choice.

Alternatively, download the application, print and complete the form, and send it to us with two photos of each candidate, a photocopy of their passport, and the appropriate payment slips.

  • Candidates under 18 years old must get the consent of their legal guardian before applying for the test. This legal guardian must contact Knowledge Merchandising before the application is submitted.
  • Candidates with a disability should contact Knowledge Merchandising before submitting their application. We will try to arrange for them to take the test at a centre with suitable facilities.
